President

Vietnamese Student Association

City University of Seattle

2016 – 2017

Finding many international students struggle with new environment of living and studying in the United States, I have actively tried to create differences to make international students feel more welcomed and assisted. Having realized that City University of Seattle – the university I currently attended by the time, did not have a student association other than Enactus, I decided to propose the idea of creating one with the Deans and the students.
Any big success begins with a small step. As an international student myself, coming from Vietnam, I believe that in order to make positive impacts for international students, it is important to begin with helping a small group – Vietnamese students; hoping to keep continuous impacts on other international students in the future.
The purpose of the Vietnamese Student Association of City University of Seattle is to provide assistance for Vietnamese prospective, current and alumni students of City University of Seattle, in terms of professional, academic and daily life aspects. Hopefully the size of Vietnamese Student Association of City University of Seattle will grow bigger to work with other international and native students, not only from City University but also other universities around the United States.
